Overview
One of the best-known sins of the Bible is David’s adultery with Bathsheba. Uriah’s faithfulness to David marks a stark contrast to what David did, and then compounded by making sure faithful Uriah died in battle. Nathan’s carefully crafted rebuke broke through David’s façade. David’s repentance and confession are also models for returning to communion with God after such an atrocious string on ungodly thoughts and actions.
